  • Its reported maximum user weight is 120kg and its weight is approximately 34.9kg.

A stationary option for indoor exercise

Pat introduces the Yesoul G1M+ as a way to continue cycling when the weather is unsuitable for riding outdoors. Unlike a basic exercise bike, it combines the physical bike with a built-in display and connectivity features intended for home workouts.

The bike is supplied with pedals that include straps, although users can screw in their own pedals to accommodate cycling shoes. The resistance is adjusted using a manual knob, providing a familiar physical control while also showing the selected resistance on the screen. The bike can still be used with the screen unplugged, which gives it more flexibility for people who do not want to rely on the display.

Screen, projection and connectivity

The G1M+ has a 21.5-inch 1080p screen with stereo speakers. The display is not described as high resolution, but Pat considers it suitable for showing ride information and streamed content. It can be moved from side to side, with some adjustment up and down.

Wireless screen projection allows users to display content from a mobile device, including exercise services or other media. Pat specifically mentions using content such as Apple Fitness, television shows, movies and webinars. Android phones need USB-C DisplayPort support for this feature.

The bike supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for real-time data transmission rather than for driving the screen projection. The listed compatible apps are Yesoul Sports, Kinomap and Zwift. Yesoul’s app also includes goal settings and can tailor exercises towards those goals, according to the video.

Specifications and construction

The resistance system is magnetic, with up to 100 resistance levels. The stated maximum weight capacity is 265lb, or 120kg, and the bike weighs approximately 77.16lb, or 34.9kg.

The frame includes water bottle storage and a phone holder. Pat also highlights adjustment points that use both a pin release and a screw tap for tightening. The chain areas are enclosed, which he identifies as a useful safety feature for homes with children.

During assembly, Pat says the screws aligned correctly and that he did not encounter particular construction problems. He describes the bike as sturdy and says it accommodates most sizes of people. His main concern with the physical design is that the screen feels a little flimsy, so it should be handled carefully.

A flexible Peloton alternative

Pat compares the G1M+ with his experience using a Peloton for more than a week during a trip to Singapore. He says the Peloton offered a high level of quality, but considers its bike and subscription costs very expensive. In contrast, he presents the Yesoul as an alternative that does not require an ongoing subscription.

The ability to show workout content while retaining the bike’s performance metrics is a key distinction from simply placing an exercise bike in front of a television. Pat also sees value in being able to use the bike for short sessions at home, rather than preparing for and travelling to an outdoor ride.

The video refers to a price of around $1,400 in Australia. That figure and the product details reflect the information presented in the video, published on 6 May 2025.

TechManPat’s conclusion

After using the Yesoul G1M+ for a couple of weeks, I think it is a strong alternative to a Peloton for people who want an indoor bike with a screen, workout flexibility and ride metrics without another subscription. I was impressed by the build quality and the ability to use my own pedals, although the screen feels a little flimsy. For my situation, it provides a convenient way to fit 30-minute, 45-minute or longer rides into the day when outdoor cycling is not practical.
