Low-profile design and navigation

The MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller Complete is 96mm tall when its retractable sensor is lowered, allowing it to reach under furniture that many taller robot vacuums cannot. The sensor uses dual lasers, while an RGB camera at the front supports mapping and obstacle avoidance.

During testing, the robot occasionally paused before committing to low areas and still sometimes bumped into objects. However, it mapped the home, handled zones and no-go areas, and completed scheduled cleaning without software bugs or glitches being encountered in the pre-release unit.

Roller mop performance

Instead of using flat mop pads, the Z60 uses a 25cm spinning roller with 12 spray nozzles. The roller is rinsed continuously during cleaning, while dirty water is scraped into a waste tank. This is intended to reduce the amount of grime being spread across the floor.

For carpet protection, the Auto Shield system lifts the mop and places a drip guard underneath it when a taller rug is detected. Thick rugs caused some traction difficulty, but the robot eventually climbed them without getting stuck. StepMaster legs and the LiftPro chassis are said to handle thresholds up to 4.8cm.

Self-cleaning base and maintenance

Battery life and app

The robot’s stated operating time in the testing was about 150 minutes. Larger cleaning jobs can push the battery, but the robot was able to return to the base, recharge, wash its mop and resume cleaning with a full tank and additional battery.

The Mo Home app provides mapping, zones, no-go areas and schedules. AI features use carpet sensing and camera-based dirt recognition to adjust cleaning behaviour. The software was described as polished for a pre-release unit, while occasional bumps remained a minor quirk that could improve with future software updates.

After two weeks of use, I found the MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller Complete very effective in my home. It removed pet fur, cleaned spills and flour, deep-cleaned carpets without wetting them, and reduced hands-on maintenance through its self-cleaning base. Its large footprint, louder turbo carpet mode and premium price are important considerations, but for families wanting to minimise housework, I think it is a compelling high-end option and, based on my testing, good to go.
